Emergency Information


In the event of a life threatening emergency or serious accident, always take your child to the nearest emergency room or call 911 for immediate assistance.  For all other calls you can reach us 24 hours a day 365 days a year at 203-840-7566. One of our physicians is always on call when our office is closed to handle after hours emergencies or issues, quite often avoiding the need for an urgent care or emergency room visit.

If your child is experiencing an emergency and you cannot get through on our phone line please call 911.



Park Street Pediatrics also employs specially trained registered nurses to handle your questions and concerns when the office is closed.  These triage nurses follow approved protocols to determine necessary and appropriate care for your child.  These nurses are available to take your questions or concerns from 11:00pm to 7:00am.  Please be assured that if you would rather speak directly to the physician on-call, the nurse will have them paged for you.

If you are concerned about an accidental exposure to a chemical, drug or other toxin, please call
Connecticut Poison Control Center: 1-800-222-1222, followed by a call to our office.





ToxTown is a good source of information on environmental toxic chemicals and environmental impacts on human health.  It is a great interactive guide to commonly encountered toxic substances, your health and the environment.  It helps users explore and gain more information concerning the environmental hazards in their community.  It is also available in Spanish.

It serves as a companion to the extensive information in ToxNet databases that are typically used by health professionals.
